The Seine-Nord Europe canal financing and construction agreement was signed in Nesle (Somme) on November 22, 2019 by the State, the European Commission and the local authorities involved in the project.
An agreement has indeed been confirmed by Elisabeth Borne, Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, Gérald Darmanin, Minister for Action and Public Accounts, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, Secretary of State for Transport, Xavier Bertrand, President of the region of Hauts-de-France, Alexis Padoy, representative of the European Commission, Jean-René Lecerf, President of the departmental council of the North, Nadège Lefèvre, President of the departmental council of Oise, Jean-Claude Leroy, President of the departmental council of Pas- de-Calais and Laurent Somon, President of the departmental council of the Somme.
The signing of this agreement took place during the first strategic committee of the Seine-Nord Europe canal in the presence of the President of France.
