Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe (SCSNE) has published the TOARC (Earthworks, engineering structures and communications restauration) contract for lot 1 of the works in sector 1 (between Compiègne and Passel) of the future Seine-Nord Europe Canal.
This contract covers all the works and services required to build the upstream and downstream reaches and related structures for sector 1. Lot 1 includes the earthworks and bank defences for the upstream and downstream reaches, the two forebays (including two waiting berths) and the guiding booms for the lock, the back quays at Ribécourt-Dreslincourt and Pimprez, the resealing of the Oise (Muids, Pimprez), and more.
The Seine-Nord Europe Canal will be the central link (107 km) in the Seine-Scheldt network by 2030, linking the Seine and Scheldt basins. Companies have until 5pm on 28 August to apply: https://www.canal-seine-nord-europe.fr/marches-publics
This work has been made possible thanks to the financial support of the French government, regional and local authorities, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission, which on 21 June awarded a 4th grant to projects on the Seine-Scheldt cross-border network: €506 million over 2023-2027, of which €405 million will be used to finance the works on sector 1 of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal.
